Monica was completely thorough. Strong hands. Great attitude. Very knowledgeable. And just a good person. The welcoming staff were warm and kind and professional. Such a great place. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Monica Dotts is a licensed professional massage therapist who graduated from The Pennsylvania School of Massage Therapy in Oaks, PA in 2003 where she received certificates in both Professional Massage Therapy and Corrective Medical Massage totaling 737 hours of training.  Monica went on to receive an associate’s degree in Muscle Therapy and Integrated Healthcare from Harcum college in 2004.  In addition to being licensed in Pennsylvania to do massage therapy, Monica became a nationally certified massage therapist (NCBTMB) when she passed the board certification test.  Monica believes in a holistic approach to healing which includes the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical needs for healing.  Monica has been trained in energy healing practices including IET (Integrated Energy Healing) and is a certified Reiki Master and a Shamballa Master.  Many of Monica’s clients have benefited from the emotional releases they have experienced on the massage table.  During Monica’s 16-year career in massage therapy she has taken many classes on a wide variety of massage modalities which she can incorporate into a session to achieve the best outcome.  Examples of classes taken include:

  • Structural Integration (much like Rolfing)
  • Touch for Health
  • Trigger Point Release
  • Flower Essence Services Professional Practitioner class (assists in emotional healing)
  • Massage Cupping
  • Stretching for Massage Therapists
  • Understanding the Gut Brain:  Stress, Appetite, Digestion and Mood
  • Releasing the Iliopsoas
  • Marma Therapy (an Ayurvedic method)
  • Biomechanical Functional Integrity Technique for Neck and Shoulders
  • Biomechanical Functional Integrity Technique for Lower Back and Pelvis

Monica’s training has also included techniques such as warm bamboo, hot stones, myofascial release, positional release, and cross fiber massage.  Monica’s career in massage therapy has lasted longer than any of her previous careers because she believes in the contribution she can make by helping people reduce or eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and improve overall well-being.  In her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, gardening at her Schwenksville home, earthing, meditation, personal growth, learning about healing and helping others to heal through various techniques like EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
